Parents’ Association

About Us

The aim of the Clonkeen Parents Association is to promote and contribute to the educational and general welfare interests of pupils in the school in cooperation with the Board of Management, the Principal, teachers and students of the school. The PA acts as an advisory body to the Principal and the Board of Management on major school issues and promotes social and recreational activities amongst parents/guardians and pupils in the school. The PA holds monthly meetings during the school term. The annual general meeting takes place in October. All parents are encouraged to become involved in the life of the school community as much as possible.

As of this year, the PA is affiliated to the National Parents Council Post Primary (NPCpp). See link below for further information.

The PA is supported by a Social Committee which assists in the running of many events throughout the school year. Specifically, the Social Committee organises the Graduation Mass and the Debs evening. Joining the Social Committee is a great way of being involved in school life for those who have limited time or who wish to help out in a less formal way.
